After looking at the Jim Palmer auto's in my Orioles collection (18 different ones), I'd say it was a FAKE. His signature is very hard to read. However, there is almost always a little space between the "J" & "P", and the end of "Palmer" usually has the look of a few letters (not a smooth line).

Note - you may want to take the Palmer to an authenticator to be 100% sure it is/isn't an authentic autograph (my comment was based off how it looked to me compared to those in my collection).
