In my opinion, no pitcher should be paid that much. An everyday player is different.

It's an arbitration process. He's going to be with the Giants in 2012 regardless, his agent and the team value him differently. I assume the judge will side with the Giants though. He made $14 million last year, so I assume he won't jump up $7 million for this season.
He wanted a 8 year contract though and the Giants (correctly) won't go that many years.

I don't think there is a team that has what the Giants would want, is there?

there are plenty of teams that have loaded farms, there are not however a boatload that have a stocked farm and can take on the payroll. The way the Marlins have been spedning I'd try to swing unhappy Hanley and a couple of good prespects in return.

He will need to stay in the NL that is for sure. He brings that stuff to the AL he will become pedestrian really quick. I do not think Florida will deal Hanley

Wheeler, you're a hater. Lincecum would dominate the AL just as he's done the NL.

Sorry moose I don't think so. Don't get me wrong Timmy is a great pitcher! but comparing NL to AL hitters and with the DH I don't think so. Thats like saying Tebow DID walk on water.

I don't get the AL fascination. People act like it's the AFL vs. the NFL. It's not, they all play one another and Lincecum would dominate AL hitters just the same. You don't win two Cy Young's with average stuff. He's insane with the 3rd lowest run support over the life of his career vs. any other starter over the same time period.

Lee (good) and Doc (Gr8) are 2 examples. In the NL they were able to up their performance. Beckett (good) and Burnett (good) just the opposite they went backwards.

Doc DOMINATED the AL on a HORRID team, that argument stinks. How did Lee do against the pitiful Giants offense in the WS? He got shelled in the first game for 7 runs and didn't make it out of the 5th inning. He accounted for 2 WS losses. He posted a 2.40 last year with the Phillies, (which is awesomely good) and 2.34 with the Mariners the year before.
Lincecum's era last yr vs. his 2 al opponents was 0.60.

If you look though, Halladay's ERA is down about half a run in the NL, which is accurate for the most part.
I don't know how to find Lincecum's career interleague stats, but overall it looks like he has an ERA around 4
