The Rockies have acquired Marco Scutaro from the Red Sox in exchange for Clayton Mortensen, reports ESPN's Jim Bowden (on Twitter). Troy Renck of The Denver Post first reported that the two sides were finishing up the trade.

Haha yea, but they seem to really want Oswalt for some reason. I guess they didn't realize if they didn't sign Carlos Silva, Nick Punto, Aaron Cook, Andrew Miller etc they could've signed Oswalt had they wanted to.

I get the feeling the Red Sox are gonna take a turn for the worst over the next few years. They're making some really dumb choices.

Considering how Wakefield and Dice-K have been the past few seasons, Oswalt seems like a better option.

The Sox (unfortunately) are going to totally blow this year. And I concur with gladdy. The next couple of years. But who knows, maybe their prices will go down. That might be kind of nice.
