Orioles & Wilson Betemit Agree to Deal

The Orioles have agreed to sign Wilson Betemit to a one-year, Major League contract, reports Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun (via Twitter). The deal is pending a physical.
The contract is for two years plus an option for 2014, tweets Connolly.
The 2014 option is a vesting option, the team announced.

I wish Betemit the best in Baltimore. His defense was awful, but he had some clutch hits for the Tigers (until he had a meltdown in the playoffs that is).
I'm not sure how he got a 2 year deal with a 3rd year option, but more power to him, bad move by Baltimore.
