It's been a few months since I last did a contest. After much thought, I've decided to do a
BASEBALL "MATH" CONTEST. This contest will run from Feb. 15 until the 1st MLB GAME of the 2012 season in the U.S.A. is played in April.
The
"MATH" problems will mainly be based off of retired,deceased, and HOF players uniform numbers. So, you have some time to become familiar with uniform #'s of those "old timers".
One
"MATH" problem will be posted daily (unless something happens that keeps me from posting). There will be NO SET TIME of day as to when the daily question will be posted, it will vary.
RULES -------------------------
1)Everyone at CCW,
with at least 2 POSITIVE FEEDBACKS, can participate.
2)POINTS for the DAILY CORRECT ANSWER will be determined by the DATE of that day, except for days 1-10. The POINTS for the correct answer on days 1-10 will be 10. For days 11-31 the points will match up with that days date.
3)The days date will start, and end, by EASTERN time.
4)
ONLY the 1st contestant with the CORRECT ANSWER will get the POINTS for that days "MATH" QUESTION.
5)
NO PENALTY for INCORRECT ANSWERS.
6)
ONLY one answer per question per contestant per day.
7)In case of a tie at the end of the contest the contestant with the most correct answers that he/she got points for will be the WINNER.
8)ALL answers are to be posted in this thread (added 2/15, 1st day of the contest).
9)
STARTING 2/18/12 "BONUS" questions may be added, along with the daily BASEBALL "MATH" problem. Each
"Bonus" will be worth five (5) points . The "Bonus" points will be
given to the first person who gets it correct but did not get the BASEBALL "MATH" points for that day.
10)No editing of post. (effective today(2/23), and through the rest of the contest. I just realized that I forgot to post this at the beginning of the contest.
PRIZES -----------------
1)The
number of PRIZES, and WINNERS, will be
DETERMINED by the NUMBER of Participants/Contestants --- 1-5 = 1 winner , 6-9= 1st & 2nd place prizes, 10+ = 1st,2nd, & 3rd place prizes
2)PRIZES may include BASEBALL card auto's,gu,"vintage", and "lots". Also, there may be some NON-BASEBALL prizes.
3)The WINNER(S) will be able to pick his/her PRIZE(S) from a list.
