Default Chiefs Fire HC Todd Haley

The Kansas City Chiefs fired head coach Todd Haley on Monday, relieving the coach of his duties just a day after his team lost 37-10 to the New York Jets.

The team did not announce an interim coach in statement on its web site but did plan to hold a news conference later Monday to discuss the team's coaching situation.

I guess that is the price you pay for overachieving last year and then having a tougher schedule and a bunch of injuries!

5-8's pretty impressive when you consider:

A.) Their best defensive player has missed the entire year

B.) Their best offensive player has missed the entire year

C.) Their starting QB has been injured on and off all season and is now out for the year

Obviously they just didn't like Haley for whatever reason.

I think he got a raw deal.

Not his fault his QB, stud RB and best defensive player all got hurt

its always the coaches fault, never the players, or the owners. just the coaches can always mess up.

Agreed. I just think his demeanor and attitude played a huge role

I also heard something about him being interested in a college job out in Arizona. It may have been kind of a mutual thing of him getting out.
