I figured I could post up my Red Sox collection here.
Who/What do you collect?
I collect anything and everything of the Red Sox. From base to Autos. Vintage to current. Anything of the player in the Sox uni or in their minor league uni. Nothing of guys in other unis though. As long as they are pictured in the Sox or affiliates unis, I want it!
Why do you collect this?
I would say because I am a homer. But, that is only part of it. I am obviously a huge Red Sox fan. But, I have been collecting for a long time now. I have a ton of cards in my collection. I love the team and I love the history behind the team. All of the old time players like Ted Williams and the players from the 70s and 80s. Like Rice and Lynn and Dewey were just awesome! I loved watching those guys play. What an outfield. And then onto the newer crop of players. Like Youk, Papi, Pedroia and Buchholz and Lester. Just can't seem to get enough of it! It is a lot of fun to collect these guys and it is a real challenge sometimes. With the cost of cards, and the demand for all of these guys being so high. But, it all about the hobby for me, and I don't demand the high dollar cards always. I just love to collect stuff!
Why your collection is 'Super'?
It is friggin HUGE! I have so much stuff, honestly, I don't even know all I have. I have all of the GU and Autos pictured in my bucket. I have stuff from the 50s (not a ton) all the way up through current stuff. Autos of Yaz. GU of all sorts of guys. Autos of guys you probably never even heard of. Vintage Williams and Yaz. Honestly I have stuff of guys I haven't even heard of. My collection is enormous! I have 10 3000 ct boxes of strictly base and inserts, and almost don't have room to store it all!
A handful of highlights of your collection.
