Drew Smyly Headed Back to the 15 Day DL

Brian Britten has reported that Drew Smyly is headed back to the 15 day DL, this time with a right intercostal strain. The move is retro active to July 7th.

Luis Marte has been called up from Toledo, but Britten reports Jacob Turner is the probable starter for Tuesday in place of Smyly.

Smyly is 4-3 this season with a 4.42 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in 15 starts for the Tigers.

Jacob Turner made a spot start earlier this season for Detroit and pitched 5 innings and gave up 1 run.
