Post 2011 Stanley Cup Coaches Go the Extra Mile for Special Insert in 10-11 Zenith Hockey

“No prob.”

That*simple two-word email*from Boston Bruins head coach Claude Julien to Panini America NHL*acquisitions*manager Alex Carbajal will likely do more to endear Julien to hockey collectors than anything his Stanley Cup-winning*Bruins did on the ice this season.

That the fourth-year Bruins*head coach*even found*time to*file that*abbreviated yet affirmative reply*to Carbajal*just hours*after his Penguins beat Tampa Bay to win the Eastern Conference*Finals was cool enough. Even cooler: It was in response to Carbajal’s request to have*Julien sign one of his Behind the Bench*cards slated for the upcoming 2010-11 Zenith Hockey*with*a special “2011 Stanley Cup Finals” inscription.

We think the one-of-a-kind result speaks for itself.

Not to be outdone, Vancouver Canucks head coach Alan Vigneault*also penned the Stanley Cup notation on one of his autographed cards,*creating added collectiblity to a*Behind the Bench set that*was already pretty fantastic before. In all, 10 current NHL head coaches made the Behind the Bench checklist, including Buffalo’s Lindy Ruff, Toronto’s Ron Wilson and Detroit’s Mike Babcock.

You can sneak a peek at*the complete gallery — including both Stanley Cup variations — below. Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance in the coming days for additional coverage of 2010-11 Zenith, slated to release later this month.

Product is now live. Looks nice. I love Zenith oversized rip cards. It brings back memories of this product from many years ago. Saw a few videos of this being broke tonight, and out of the 3 rip cards from 3 boxes, the guy was able to pull an auto /99 from one of them. Also, saw a Leafs coach Ron Wilson pulled from a case break, and must say I will be pursuing this auto.
