How I messed up and an additional 2014 Press Pass and 2014 Leaf Draft

To my fellow forum members,

I'm still f***ed up! The biggest issue I'm having is that I can't remember how I f***ed up! I destroyed my left knee, got another concussion, sprained my only good arm, and still don't remember what happened, but that's ok. What is not ok is that the doctors are recommending that I go to a day care, that's for 3 year olds and place cameras in my home. Who in the hell wants to watch a 47 year old Japanese man messing around with football cards with the NFL Network on all day? I know I don't!

I was getting withdraws from not having been on CCW, so with the help of Brett, I'm able to reply and contribute for the day. It's only for today as Brett and my daughter Allana has to get back to Kent State for their studies. By the way, they are both fine since the lockdown a few days ago due to some idiot shooting a gun on campus. Apparently he shot his hand, "Oh Lord, save my soul. Another Plaxico Burress." It was a very scary experience for both of them and I hope it never happens again, Plaxico Burress or not.

Mrs. Toshi purchased another 2014 Press Pass Blaster box and a 2014 Leaf Draft Blaster Box. On the one hand, I now have a near complete set in regards to the Press Pass. On the other side of the spectrum, I now finally own a 2014 Leaf Draft Complete Set. I'm shocked by how many quarterbacks there are and the amount of Wide Receivers are going into the draft. As the case, many will fall by the way side and many will fail at the NFL level. Of course within the 2014 Draft Class there will be the playmakers as well as the star players. Let's not forget the third round pick quarterback that ends up winning the Super Bowl. I'm definitely excited by the 2014 Draft Class.

What's nice about these products is that you can purchase these retail products for a relatively inexpensive price point and still enjoy the hits. Some of these hits are commanding significant prices. Not bad at all if you ask me for collegiate certified products. What I get out of these sets is the fact that I can acclimate myself to some of these new draft picks and follow them to their new teams. For collectors, I know that 2014 might not live up to the 2012 Draft Class but without question, 2014 will definitely if not has already surpassed the very forgettable and extremely weak 2013 Draft Class. For those collectors that are nay sayers to my comment, just look at the secondary market and the cost of a 2013 hobby box. It's an absolute embarrassment and a huge disappointment for collectors. As the old saying goes; "Numbers don't/never lie".



This is a very nice touch, especially in a retail product. Leaf actually takes the time to place each autograph card and place them into penny sleeves, top loaders, then into a team bag for extra protection. Kudos to Leaf!

He's getting there! He's feisty today, and is finally eating and drinking fluids. Thank you for your concerns and kind words. Not only is Toshi excited about 2014 Topps, we both enjoy collecting Chrome and Platinum. I know he wants a hobby box each of 2014 Elite, Momentum, Crown, and Black. His tastes in cards lean on the high end side for me. As a college student, I can't afford the high priced products.

Yes, I was shocked when I helped Toshi bust open the Leaf Draft. He's getting there and misses everyone.

I'm helping Toshi with collation in this set, for some reason there's only cards numbered from 1-90. What about the other 10? In 2012, leaf had the set made from 1-50, in 2013, from 1-100, I find it odd that in 2014 it's numbered from 1-90.

After some research, I've had to create a checklist for the 2014 Leaf Draft Retail. It's numbered from 1-90 with 10 inserts. Of course, one of those inserts is a Johnny Manziel card. So I told Toshi he now has an actual check list to compliment his complete set.

Sweet I am just about done this set as well, with 6 auto's from them already. A double being Tommy Rees. But tell toshi keep his chin up and continue to get healthy again, thanks for the update and the checklist Brett.

Hi tsands11, this is Mrs. Toshi. Just doing a quick check before I head out to work. Brett has really helped Toshi with this set. Toshi was so disappointed with 2013 cards, I can't remember the last hobby box he bought from 2013.

He's so excited about 2014 cards. They both worked really hard together to get this set and make the checklist. I'm glad that everyone can use the list. Now Toshi is complaining that Prestige and Elite are taking too long! Brett told him that the draft has not even started yet! Stupid old man. Lol.
