Finally, after a rather lengthy redemption process, today I received the centerpiece thus far of my Yasiel Puig PC. I don't know if I'll get it graded, but so far, for Platinum, it looks to be one of the better centered cards I've seen. No dinged corners, no surface blemishes, the auto (damn you stickers) is clean, no smudges/streaks. Also got in my Frazier auto from Sterling, looks like Topps is trying to ship more than one at a time where they can.





So, there's what should be about $540 bv from the Topps Co. Thanks for checking it out, as much as the sticker blows, it's still a great card and I'm glad to finally have it.

As of yesterday, no change in status. This morning the Frazier and a host of others are shipped as of the 24th and shows movement through yesterday, estimated delivery on 5/1. Sadly Puig isn't one of them but the majority of my redemptions for the past 3 years are all supposed to be coming, leaving only 4 which now say redemption entered once again.

Just though I'd let you know the latest... spoke with a guy named Eric at Topps on 6/17 he says there is no such thing as your card and it has never been made - thus my redemption remains unfilled. Last Friday's tumblr update has the 13 Platinum orange parallel finally being completed and my status was updated to shipped as of last night. Estimated arrival should be around the 18th - what do you think the odds are I'll get something different than what and the others received?

Man those guys are horrible at everything. I saw over at BO that a few others haven't received theirs either. It's weird, Eric from Topps, because the card I have is very real and didn't just materialize from nothing, lol. I wonder what card you're getting.

He said you and the handful of others with copies not numbered /5 are all liars and I shouldn't believe you because everyone on the threads and ebay possess fakes and Topps has never fulfilled any of the Puigs. If that's the case maybe you'll get lucky too and get a special limited edition orange chrome refractor with a BCP49 on the back like the one I'm supposedly going to get now that they've just been printed. Or not. Estimated delivery has been updated and pushed back to 7/22. Good thing it's FedEx and not USPS.

Lol, maybe he'll believe the screenshot of my Topps acct, the tracking number, and all that other shit that basically proves that he doesn't know what he's talking about at all in regard to this card. I'm glad you're finally getting yours, man! I won't be getting an extra card, lol, but hey, if what he says is true, then myself and the 'handful' of others that have these Ghost Puig Autos can cash ours in and retire early, living the cardboard dream of the 90s.

Or, since the card doesn't exist, I should be able to file a claim with Topps because they are showing they fulfilled a redemption with a card that doesn't exist. I sorta feel like I should call Topps tomorrow, lmao.

I'm thinking with my luck I'll get back the scratched redemption card with his sticker auto! Damn, that would be a kick in the nuts, I better not give them any crazy ideas because they probably would do something like that... maybe to honor expired redemptions so they can build on their customer relationships.

Puig is in hand and it looks like Eric either lied or is sadly mistaken... so what's new? Mine looks exactly like yours does, orange foil paraller with card number NCA49 vice BPP49. Whatever the case, I still love it only wish they were more knowledgeable & responsive instead of being the be all/end all authority with no answers.

Lol, glad you finally got yours! I wish they weren't so smug in their box of ignorance. A simple 'we need to print more' in this case would have served as an accurate explanation from them, but no, they seem to enjoy feeding rumor mills, etc. Ridiculous.

Agree, but it does make you wonder just how limited these NCA numbered cards actually are if they were original print run of 100 sets was intended to be handed out at the national. Who's to say they don't start up the printing press and run off another 5K copies and slap stickers on them, for all the supposedly on card sigs Puig has done they sure do have quite a bit of stickers in the inventory.

Yeah, the /125 print run is looking a little off right now isn't it? Also, the guys with the /5 autos from the National, wonder what this does to the value? Probably nothing, but it should. Pretty blatant, even for Topps.

Not that I have the financial means to had done so, but I'd be really bent right about now if I were one of those people who shelled out big bucks for one of those #/5 autos thinking it was something rare then to see this come along. Yeah you can still distinguish the original 5 because of the serial numbers, but what's the real difference... we're holding the exact same cards minus a small gold number stamped on the front.

Wouldn't surprise me if Topps suddenly replaces unfilled redemptions with unnumbered superfractors some day. I think I'll give Eric a call and suggest it.
