Football rookie cards

So I have long collected baseball cards and am just getting involved in collecting prime football rc cards...In baseball bowman chrome sets the standard for baseball rookies and if you want the best you need look no further.

Is there a similar set in football? I am overwhelmed by the amount of rookie game used autos available. ..

Just like Baseball, Topps Chrome has been the most collected product for Football card collecting fans. Topps also has Platinum (My Favorite), Prime, and high end items such as Supreme, Valor, Inception, Triple Threads, and Five Star. All of these products mentioned will give any collector the oppurtunity of pulling a rookie card. I guess the question to you is; "How much do you want to spend"?

As for another company, Panini carries Score, Prestige, Certified (My Favorite), Elite, Absolute, Crown Royale (Another product that I love), Momentum, Black, Playbook, and National Treasures. Again, these products allows the collector to pull rookie cards as well. Just remember, the more you spend, the bigger the lost or the bigger your hit.

You can start assessing your criteria by purchasing retail products that are currently available. These are Bowman Chrome and Score for now. If you like what you see, then you can spend some money on the hobby exclusive products.

There is also Upper Deck, Leaf, Hit, and Press Pass. These products are 100% strictly rookies only. The unfortunate thing is that the athletes are in there college uniforms due to these companies not having a license to sell NFL materials. If your a college fan, this is a great start.

Ultimately, it's your collection! There is no wrong way nor correct way in collecting. I'm confident that Topps Chrome will be a great product to start with, after you've acclimated yourself, you can slowly but surely venture into the next tier product and so on. I wish you the best of luck.

I am a Topps Chrome fan and also a fan of Topps Platinum and Upper Deck Spx but as stated by hayn its completely up to what you like to collect just like Panini is getting better this years Score is really great. Good luck
