More back to back bounties from Kevalan!

Here is another lot of football cards from none other than KevAlan. My son came by for a visit with me and checked the mailbox for the Miura Ohana, or "The house of Miura's" in Hawaiian. My daughter has ceased her almost daily visits with me to only fill this void with her studies at Kent State University.

Purchasing a new car, paying rent, food, Kent State fees, books, household necessities, and just the basic day to day lifestyle, in that order, she has learned and now understands what it is to be an responsible adult. "How the hell did you do it" was her question to me the other day; "Discipline and execution". She looked lost when I mentioned execution. I told her that we all can talk about what needs to be completed, but very few executes their program. Simply "Talk the Talk and Walk the Walk"! This does not come easily, practice and patience for many years is needed to master your goals. Just look at Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks. All of his opponents want to punch him in the face during a game, not a good thing. After the game, everyone respects and understand what Richard Sherman is about, a good thing.

I do my best as a parent to help out my children, but as a responsible parent, I refuse to do more than what's needed or they will never learn how to live life. I laugh when both of my children come over to do laundry and raid the refrigerator. It's at times like these that a visit is more than welcomed. Laughing, listening to complaints, work related issues, and significant other problems that are faced, I can only smile. I do tell them that when they were young, I would scream and cuss about them getting their household chores to be completed. Now they realize the gravity of it all. LOL! I say to them; "I'm not such a crazy and insane old man as you both once thought!

My son always takes the trash out and picks up my mail on his visits. He doesn't visit as often due to his work schedule as a manager at Walmart. I was shocked at what kind of financial gain one can make as management. Wow! I now tell him; "It's your hard earned money and it's no place of me to tell you what to do with it". Just understand the consequences, of which he now realizes as an adult. I always look forward to the daily mail, besides the usual shows on the flat screen panel, my connection to the world is via the internet and the old school mailing system of the USPS.

I've hardly utilized nor cared for the USPS in the past as I hardly had use for it. I deemed it obsolete and an extinct dinosaur in the digital age until just recently. How in the world could I have sent cards out for trades as well as receiving them? There's no other way! Call it snail mail if you will, but it is now an vital factor as a member of "Cardboard Connection and Card Collectors World". Recently I've received back to back cards from KevAlan. I really appreciate his kindness and generosity. He is a important factor as a member of our digital community. Once again, thank you Kevalan.



I love watching Russell Wilson play but not as much as Brett does. This is his most favorite up and coming player.
