When it comes to baseball... it's been twenty-five years since one of my teams won the World Series. Hockey? The San Jose Sharks have never been to the Stanley Cup Finals... let alone win it.

But football is a different story. The Green Bay Packers won Super Bowl XLV four years ago and the Seattle Seahawks are the reigningSuper Bowl champions.

Tonight they'll kickoff the 2014 NFL season against each other in what could be a preview of this season'sNFC Conference Championshipgame.

It's always fun to see my two teams face each other... but unfortunately only one team can walk away with the win.

My preference? A great game without any key injuries. Did you really expect me to choose one over the other? It would be like asking a mother to pick their favorite child.

I've been a fan of both teams since the 80's... when Lynn Dickey was tossing the pigskin to James Lofton and Dave Krieg was handing the ball off to Curt Warner. Back then Seattle was in the AFC West, which made things a little easier for me because I had a team in each conference.

Tonight... I'm just excited to see which one will prevail: the Packers'offense or Seattle'sdefense. This should be one helluva game.

Before I head out to watch the game... I wanted to share with you the latest addition to my Green Bay Packers PC:

I've been looking to add a Bart Starrautographed mini helmet to my collection for years. It's certified by Mounted Memories and completes my Packers QB Trifecta:

It was my early birthday present to myself. With that out of the way... I can now start hunting down a Steve Largentautographed mini helmet for my Seattle Seahawks PC. Can you say early Christmaspresent?

    Happy Thursday and sayonara!

Wow Fujisan, that's absolutely a fantastic addition that really complements as well as completes your memorabilia helmet trifecta! By the way, I know you're a die hard fan of Brett Favre like I am. I just recently acquired the 1991 Topps Stadium Club Super Bowl Brett Favre card. I paid less than 20% of book value for this hard to find rare card. Congratulations on your helmet auto trifectas.

I am easy, I collect any and all NFL cards. Individual players I really enjoy are Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, Andrew Luck, RGIII, and Russell Wilson. My passion is Favre rookie cards and vintage cards.
