    To my fellow forum members,

For half a year, my venture into Stow, Ohio has led me to All Pro Sports Cards. I've been contemplating wether or not to get a hobby box that the proprietor was selling, an exclusive to the 2007 National Sports Card Convention that took place here in Cleveland, Ohio. Although the hobby box promised two 1/1, I was most skeptical about this purchase, anxiety played a big part in my decision making process. Many of you know the feeling of a potential big hit RPA, only to pull another potato player in the likes of 2012's biggest baked potato, Michael "Eggplant" Egnew.

These hobby only boxes was unique as it also represented basketball, baseball, and hockey, besides the exclusive football card only hobby boxes. I could see that these products attempted their best to sell yet, it only attracted dust at the very least. My intention at the LCS was to obtain a handful of singles, unfortunately yet fortunately, this became my ace in the hole. With no single packs available for purchase and no real attractive singles, I kept going back to the: "I guess I'll purchase the eTopps 1/1 hobby box and see how my luck has fared. In reality, a little bit of Mrs. Toshi rub off on me as far as hits seemed to move forward. I still lacked my Chinese dinner in which would consists of roast chicken, beef ho fun, Hunan fried rice, deep fried tofu, kung po chicken, beef sauté with scallions, and deep fried shrimp Sweet and sour. Why did I mention Chinese food here on CCW? Chinese food for me is a rare treat just like a 1/1!

The last time we went to Shuhei Japanese Restaurant, it was just Mrs. Toshi and I. We devoured our meal as if it were the last supper. Not wanting to eat out and deal with mediocre service in a bad atmosphere we decided that consuming our meal at home was a much more enjoyable treat. This time, I settled on preparing a simple Chinese dish called "Seafood pan fried noodles". Everyone said it was great only to my chagrin, it had no taste! My family keeps reminding me that I'm too critical on my preparations of culinary delights, but that's just the way I am. Being passionate on a particular hobby and or hobbies has a great potential positive way of an outcome, that could yield to a wondeful culinary experience.

This is akin to collecting football cards as this is all relevant. I did not want to spend $59.99 on a hobby box with just two cards, albeit 1/1 cards. Who knew of the outcome? I had to take a step forward and make this sacrifice happen. Luckily, it turned out to be a 1/1 card of my favorite all time idol in the likes of Brett "Ironman" Favre. I will utilize the box to hold my 1/1's. Until my next endevour, please take the time out to review my thread. Thank you in advance!

    Toshi

Congrats Toshi. Very cool card. I don't think I would have the balls to buy a 2 card box. You definitely picked the right box. I would probably end up with a couple like the Samie Parker.
I collect Andre Johnson, Redskins from the 70’s & 80’s, HOF’ers and Texas A&M Aggies
(Manziel, Mike Evans, Jake Matthews, Ryan Swope, Sean Porter, Luke Joeckel, Damontre Moore, Ryan Tannehill, Cyrus Gray, Jeff Fuller, Martellus Bennett, Stephen McGee, Goodson, Jerrod Johnson, V. Miller, Acie Law, DeAndre Jordan, Antoine Wright, Justin Ruggiano, etc.).

Thank you, I agree with your comment of the card being cool. As for cahones, I think I was either too stupid or had that audacity to go ahead with this purchase. You can believe my face shocked when I pulled the Favre card.
