    2014 Absolute

    To my fellow forum members,

    Last night, Mrs. Toshi and I went to our local Walmart. We did our usual overall shopping only to be followed by our curiosity in the card aisles. Once there, We both noticed several rack packs, no blasters, of 2014 Panini Absolute.

    Mrs. Toshi picked up a couple of the Absolute rack packs and off we went to our humble abode. Below, you will find what Mrs. Toshi and I ripped to get at it.

      How goes it Toshi? Are all of the cards die cut, or are those just the inserts that you got? Either way it is a different look.

      Have you bought any of the Contenders retail?

      Just before Christmas, I bought a regular retail blaster, $19.99. 8 packs, 5 cards/pack. 35 base, 4 inserts, 1 guaranteed Rookie Ticket Jersey. Nothing spectacular, no rookies.

      Thursday at Target, there was a alternative blaster similar to the Crown Royale, $49.99. 14 packs, 8 cards/pack (think that is right). 101 base (complete 1-100 set), 8 inserts, 2 guaranteed Rookie Ticket Jerseys, 1 guaranteed auto. My auto was Alfred Blue RC. Seemed like a decent buy.
      I collect Andre Johnson, Redskins from the 70’s & 80’s, HOF’ers and Texas A&M Aggies
      (Manziel, Mike Evans, Jake Matthews, Ryan Swope, Sean Porter, Luke Joeckel, Damontre Moore, Ryan Tannehill, Cyrus Gray, Jeff Fuller, Martellus Bennett, Stephen McGee, Goodson, Jerrod Johnson, V. Miller, Acie Law, DeAndre Jordan, Antoine Wright, Justin Ruggiano, etc.).

        I'm doing great RBRedskins, thank you. How are you doing at your end? Any new sets? Yes, I have purchased 2014 Contenders, when time allows, I'll post them in another thread. As for the Target alternatives, I really like it when there's competition going on between Target and Walmart.

        I really enjoyed the Turkey Red product that was exclusively a Target product, it's just Mrs. Toshi doesn't like the player rendition on the card. So if she doesn't like a product, we will pass and look for something else. I have to make sure Mrs. Toshi is happy with the new debut of football cards. That way we both can break something that we both truly enjoy. Thank you for reading my thread and responding!

                  Just so that you understand, the Nick Foles Refractor 28/49 has a tiny bent left hand corner. If you look closely at the photograph, it's barely discernible. I just want you to know.
