  • Report: Peyton Manning intends to play in '15

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports Peyton Manning is training in New Orleans "with the intent to play" in 2015.
This is just the latest in a string of similar reports since the Broncos were ousted from the playoffs by the Colts. It's not shocking by any means, and we fully expect Manning to be under center for Denver next September in another push for a championship. We'll know Manning's plans for certain within a month.

Report: Broncos may not want Manning back

Citing "sources close to the team," Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reports there's a "big question" about whether the Broncos want Peyton Manning for 2015.
"At this point in his career, the Broncos could fail (Manning's physical) for any reason, including the four neck surgeries that he has already had," Cole said. "They're going to have to feel very comfortable about this." Manning's $19 million salary will no longer be guaranteed if he fails his physical. While Manning's health was an issue late in 2014, we find this report very hard to believe. Until now, every utterance — both public and "sourced" — has suggested Denver desperately wants Manning back. Perhaps this is just a ploy to speed up Manning's decision. Manning will reportedly meet with GM John Elway before the Combine.
