  • Farewell Mr Shane Vereen...

I figured with him signed, sealed and delivered to the Giants, I would post my top 10 Shane Vereen cards in my collection. Sad to see him go. A good contract for him though. Good luck! One thing is I am stopping actively collecting the guys that are no longer on the team. I figure there are enough on the team to collect including new recruits. I mean, if I find something I can trade for, or I get in a lot or something, sure, but not going to be actively looking for his stuff anymore! It was fun while it lasted, and I now have a nice Vereen collection to remember him by!

    #10 : 2011 Five Star /88
A nice clean elegant design. Good sized swatch as well. They probably call this a patch card. Would have liked multi color, but even the white only makes the card feel nice and clean.

    #9 : 2011 Topps Rookie Patch
When these first came out I was crazy over them. The first version of this was a 1-color swatch, and then as time went on I got this one. A really nice 4-color patch. It says patch on there, but there is no clear numbering on this card itself, but still very very cool!

    #8 : 2011 Bowman Sterling Blue /99
I love the blue background of this card. Very sharp and clear. Lots of very Patriot-ic colors on here. A very simple design, but just so very nice.

    #7 : 2011 Inception Patch Auto /50
I loved the Inception cards when they came out. Marble type background. So many different color variations. Nice patches in a lot of these. I was a little disappointed when they seemed to copy the type of design on other products. But these were some of the nicest cards when they first came out

    #6 : 2011 Plates & Patches /15
An awesome card design as well. Relatively simple yet elegant. A nice big patch, and a nasty patch, with seams and 3 colors. Very nice! And really low numbered as well!

    #5 : 2011 Platinum Patch Auto /75
Another cool card design. I love the shield shaped patch window. And the blue again. That color blue to me really seems to make these refractor type cards just POP!

    #4 : 2011 Crown Royal Sillhouette Patch Auto (/299)
Another unique card design with the patch window a cutout around the player in action. I have two different of these cards, but this one I like as that I can see the multi colors on both sides of the player, and not a super low numbered card. But just a pleasure to look at!

    #3 : 2011 SPx Rookie Auto Jersey /225
I am not a huge fan of the College cards typically, but I always like to get some of the new guys to have something. But, for some reason I absolutely love this particular card. I chased this one for a while. Something about these SPx cards typically every year too. I always find myself wanting to get one of these!

    #2 : 2011 LImited Phenoms /299
This here is one of my favorite card designs. I love the Patriots cutout for the jersey patch. This card is actually a trade up that I did. I had a plain patch that someone wanted, and they had dupes of the patch card. So, for a couple of bucks I got to trade up to this card. The card design is pretty basic, but what they do with the cut-out and patches is spectacular!

    #1 : 2013 Triple Threads /18
What can be said about this card. It is awesome! Great card design! Gold behind the sticker auto (the one drawback)! Another great cutout 'Playoff Performer'. Super patch underneath there. Sorry to see this guy go!

My favorite is the Limited, Inception, and the Topps.
I am easy, I collect any and all NFL cards. Individual players I really enjoy are Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, Andrew Luck, RGIII, and Russell Wilson. My passion is Favre rookie cards and vintage cards.
