  • Card Show Finds

The boys and I went to a show on Saturday. We definitely chose quality over quantity this time. Everyone had some specific types of cards they wanted and we all accomplished our goals and then some. Jack especially did well with his first time dealing on his own. Here are the highlights:

I love these '51 Bowman cards. They definitely aren't NM but the history in them is priceless to me. Plus they were cheap!

Jack had some success as well finding this Clinton-Dix Lava Flow SP...

    His first booklet...

    and last but not least...

    One for Jack...

    And one for me!

    Awesome stuff Andy!
I especially like that it's a family hobby!

    Way cool!

My boys aren't into sports - one has an obsession with Pokémon and the other is a Lego Maniac!
We go to a Lego Fan Show in the late summer - IT IS AWESOME!

    Later

      Thanks Le!

Lego Fan Show? Better not tell my boys about that one. Legos are about the only toy we've ever bought the kids!

Yep it's a regular event up near the Dulles Airport (about 2 hours from Richmond - I think it's supposed to be less but I95 traffic is the pits)

Anyway this one is called Brick Fair - no connection to Lego Corp as far as sponsorship - the Lego Expo or something like that was a Lego event that went coast to coast

It's cool picture the dad (Will Farrell) from the Lego Movie having thousands of friends over for a weekend - - no kits, no instructions --- models from Steam Punk to Post-Apocalypse - Movies and World War II - a few specialty vendors but other than those 10-20 tables in one corner of the arena it's wall-to-wall fan created Lego models...you can probably do a web search for a local LUG (Lego User Group) and maybe even one of their shows...

Nice nostalgic 51's and the legendary Montana! Congratulations!
I am easy, I collect any and all NFL cards. Individual players I really enjoy are Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, Andrew Luck, RGIII, and Russell Wilson. My passion is Favre rookie cards and vintage cards.
