2015 Topps Football Variations Gallery, Checklist, Guide

With 100 variations in tow, 2015 Topps Football pushes close to variation overload. While the veterans generally feature different jerseys and a celebratory pose, the sheer overall number combined with a strong similarity among the rookie subjects means the 2015 Topps Football Variation short prints are not the easiest to spot. With that in mind, the following guide aims to eliminate any confusion with a detailed look at the image differences.

Although the 2015 Topps Football Variations are slightly easier to pull this year compared to 2014, Topps elected to not include the full variation list on the final checklist so the total number is not officially known. However, the solicitation put that number at 100 and that was also the case in 2014. This includes 40 rookie variations and 60 veteran variations.

Another change from last year is that while the rookie variations have a different code on the card's back, the veteran cards do not. This means collectors have to pay more attention to the images. For base cards, the final three digits are 866, and that is the same number for veteran variations. Rookie variations switch that number to 901, so those will at least have a secondary option to distinguish from the base.

Click on the link above to look at the 2015 Topps Football Variation Short Prints. They're paired with the base versions so you know exactly how to tell them apart.
