2016 Topps Baseball Series 2 Variations Guide, Checklist, Gallery
The 2016 Topps Series 2 Baseball Variations incorporate a similar format to the Series 1 Variations. Available in two main groups, the short prints offer jersey differences to go along with the more limited SSP cards. See all the tips and tricks to spot the many variations using our detailed guide.
Based on early information from popular breaker brentandbecca, 2016 Topps Series 2 Baseball Variations contain both SP and SSP image variations. The more common short prints work with the Jackie Robinson Day #42 jersey images while the super short prints feature image swaps without a central theme.
In addition to the visibly different images on the fronts, collectors can also spot the 2016 Topps Series 2 Baseball Variations using the card backs. Pay specific attention to the final two digits on the code in the bottom corner:
Base - end in #85
SP Photo Variations - end in #33
SSP Photo Variations - end in #35
Like Series 1, the Series 2 checklist does not feature any of the common variations from recent years, including Stat Backs or Sparkles.
