The New Orleans Pelicans are calling up Erie BayHawks guard Anthony Brown from the NBA D-League, according to league sources.
Brown went No. 1 overall to Erie in the recent D-League draft after the Los Angeles Lakers let him go in final cuts before opening night.
The Pelicans targeted Brown, sources said, in their bid to add more perimeter shooting.
Brown was selected 34th overall in the 2015 NBA draft and awoke Sunday as the D-League's No. 2 scorer at 29.3 points per game for Erie in three appearances.
The Stanford product shot 55.8 percent from the field and a sizzling 65 percent on 3-pointers in his three games with the BayHawks.
