  • What to do? Please advise - unopened case 2014 Bowman chrome baseball, Bryant?

First post here guys ... although I've been reading posts here for awhile.

The reason for this post is to get some perspective from some fellow collectors ... I've been sitting on an unopened case of 2014 Bowman Chrome Baseball for a while now. This is the case that has Gregory Polanco on the front, 8 jumbo boxes, 5 auto's in each for 40 total ... as I'm sure many of you know, this release saw the 2013 Kris Bryant auto's show up along with 2014 auto's as well. Knowing that redemptions expire in April I really don't know what to do ...
    1. Should I hold onto this case for a few years and make a good profit once I sell?
    2. Or should I rip it knowing there's more Bryant's out there? Obviously the potential for it being a dud is very real, but at the same time the potential for a huge hit could be sitting in there as well.

With so much controversy surrounding this case I really don't know what I should do. That's where I'm hoping you guys can chime in and advise me on what you guys think. At this point I'm not considering doing any kind of group break on it, mainly because I don't think I could sell all teams. Even if I did try and break it, what kind of price what I put for the Cubs? Obviously I have more questions than answers with regards to this case and would appreciate anybody's input going forward. I'm literally 50-50 on whether not I should rip this thing open. Let me know what you guys think and I appreciate any opinions. Thanks in advance.

Very simple answer to your question: do whatever is the most comfortable to you. That's all there is to it. You're the one that will have to live with the decision. So, do what you're comfortable with, and not worry no matter what happens or what others say. They are yours, so do what you like and can live with. Don't let "it" control you, but you control "it". Hope this helps.
      Have a good night.

I feel your frustration, so here's my opinion for what it's worth...The reality is that eventually prices peak (hence trout's 09' is 2k+) with Bryant's popularity high right now, I'd break the case and keep or sell what's of value...Obviously value is multiplied depending on individual grading. Get while the gettin is good...
Interested in any Francisco Lindor, PeeWee Reese, Archie Bradley and Paul Goldschmidt, wise...
