1909-1911 T206 Wagner Did Not Sell On The 'Bay

A PSA 1 copy of the famed holy grail of baseball cards, the T206 Honus Wagner, has shown up on eBay.

Asking price? $345,000, Buy It Now.

Geesh...Really? This card did not sell on the 'Bay?

When it was first published I questioned why the seller did not use a reputable auction house or go with a Private Sale.

Trust me, if I had this card in hand the 'Bay would be the last place I would try to sell it.....(heck, the fees alone would kill you!)

You could sell that a show for that much or maybe even more.. All you need is to find the right show.. and if I'm looking for that much I would travel far and wide to find the right clientele

He might've just put it up for exposure if nothing else...

..and it's graded by PSA.....maybe he should have gotten a Beckett Grading?

Thats because too many goof balls are going apeshift with Strasburg and "prospects" in the search bar and only 17 of us saw it.

I think prospecting has hurt our hobby more than anything. It has drawn a bunch of savage cash hounds to our hobby to say the least. Have you seen what bgs 10 bow chrome stuff goes for, low print run stuff. Doesnt matter who it is. No idea why people buy this stuff.
