I began collecting when my Son was born in 1987. I officially quit collecting before series 2 Topps baseball released in 2010.
My collection mainly consists of hand collated baseball sets. I have 2 or more complete sets for most of the years between 87 and 09. I have quite a few sets that are partially complete. I have boxes of inserts and quite a few completed insert sets.
Anyone collect Johnny Damon? I began collecting his cards when he was in Single A ball at Wilmington, DE. I kept collecting him up until the end of 09. I could probably come up with the list somewhere, but I think I have over 2,000 of his cards... with MANY rare limited prints, autos, g.u., etc.
I have uncut sheets, a large collection of promo cards, food issued sets, and on-and-on.
I just can't bring myself to post on eBay, or even Craigslist. I shudder to think how a card store would devalue what I have, so I decided to start on this site to see if anyone has any interest.
Feel free to send me a direct email to blakslee@comcast.net and prepare to be patient with me in responding. It will take me awhile to get back into the game, and I've pretty much always been a buyer, not a seller. I'd be glad to give you a bargain, but I also spent a big chunk of my life collecting cards and a big chunk of my earnings. I don't plan to let someone take full advantage of my desire to begin unloading.
So, a bargain for you and a happy seller is the ultimate goal. By the way, if you live in the Denver metro area, that's a plus for you. Perhaps we can find a mutual spot to meet.
Thanks,
Bill Blakslee
