  • Baseball Team Trading

So, I know we have a list that says what players and teams some collect, and I know the team trading group kind of fell apart recently. So, I was thinking about a slightly different way of keeping this thing rolling.

Here is what I am proposing...

If you are interested in team trading at all, this is the place to start. Post up your preferences of teams. Asking for multiple teams, and having multiple people for the same team is okay. I will compile a list here of who collects which teams. Remember this is like the team traders that others have seen. This is for people that will take anything (and I mean anything) of their respective teams in trade. From base to whatever. Whatever years anyone has, and what have you. And the trades can just be a lot for a lot, and no counts necessary. Actually, whatever two people decide on.

If this is on interest to you, post your teams of preference here on this thread. I will keep a running tally of teams and people interested in them. What we can use this thread for is to find out who collects what teams and hopefully out of this can fall some trades. So, anyway, I will get it started with my team of choice.

Put you on the list for Indians? Would you be willing to trade other teams for Indians?

I will post up a swap Indians Lot for Red Sox Lot.

This is really if you are interested in those teams, and let it be known, that in these types of trades you would likely get cards of...

            Current Players
            Past Players
            Low End Base
            Older Cards from the 80s

Pretty much everything. But, if you talk to anyone about trades, others might be interested in doing trades for players as well.

But, for now I will put you in for those two teams, and hopefully you can get some good trading done!

Also, anyone who trades with me, I like to try to include oddball cards of teams you like and hope likewise. My idea is not to trade hundreds of dollars of cards, but to hopefully get some of your favorite players on cards you may not have even if they aren't very valuable. I kind of like getting oddball cards from ToysRus or Kelloggs or something if they are of my favorite team.

i amtrying to scale down my collection, over 100,000 cards mostly baseball and football. I want to bundle groups of cards for Boston players .Id rather have fewer high end cards than a whole bunch of semi $ cards.

Are you saying you would rather send out 300 cards at .25 a piece and receive back 50 cards at a $1 a piece or something like that? Or perhaps you just want 5 cards at $10-$20 a piece?

                      Unfortunately...

Not really looking to trade down myself at this point. More looking to do team trading. As the thread states. But if you were interested in doing team trading would gladly put you on the list. Thanks for the look.

Angels I guess. How does this work? Is it just connecting with someone? I guess I'm thinking of having one place to send our cards to separated by teams ofcourse. Then at that same place, collate them and have them send only the team I want to me. Does that make sense?

Nope that's not it. It's just trading between 2 people. You look at the others needs and see if you can fill that need. Then contact them to see if they have what you want to trade for what they want. No trading clearinghouse.

Oh then that I'm not interested in... Too much shipping. Is there a thing as a trade clearinghouse? That way I get to get rid of all my unwanted cards and get the team I want in one turn.
