Little Collector(s)

Hey guys, one of my sons, the 6 year old, has decided that he wants to start collecting some cards "other than the plain ones" aka, base. Unfortunately his favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys, and other than my general disdain for "America's Team," I really don't have any cards to help him out on his journey. That being said, I do have a lot of low end and mid-end inserts, GUs and autos that I would be willing to trade away out of my collection to help get his started. So, if anyone would like to help out, let me know what you have available and what you might like, and me and my little guy will look through and see what sort of deals we can make.

He's also, begrudgingly, willing to spend some allowance money on some cards as well. (I'm gonna cover his shipping)

His primary interests are Dez Bryant and Tony Romo, though he's 6, and really pretty excited for ANY Cowboy's card.

Also, if you have any kiddos looking to get started in collecting let me know, maybe we can start a sticky or something so everyone knows where they can help out our little collector's get started.

My son is 5, and he just started playing T-ball. So, he said he wants to collect baseball cards, which I have never messed with at all. He says he wants Orioles cards. I guess I'm gonna start getting more into baseball now.

that is a cool idea about starting a stickied thread for our kids collecting wants.

I just wrote that I don't have any Cowboys but then the kids reminded me that I have a booklet. It's a 2013 Panini Playbook Rookie Jerseys Silver #236 Terrance Williams. The right side has a thick seam and the left is the jumbo jersey swatch. I can throw a scan up if you're interested.

I'll 3rd this motion! I'd love to know what the kids collect, could be general or specific wants.

I only have a handful of baseball cards, but I may actually have a couple of older Orioles cards and I think one Gypsy Queen of Robinson. Feel free to look through my bucket and put together what you think is fair, I showed Charlie the card, he'd like a shot at it.

Same here, love a shot at this one for him.. he doesn't have a booklet yet, would be a neat into for him. I showed him a generic one from google images and he seemed pretty keen. Take a look through my bucket, and let me know if you have anything else you are looking for that may not be in there, we just moved and I have quite a few cards that haven't been scanned in yet.

This is a great idea. To see what the younger collectors like. My son is 7 and he loves the Boston teams, which I get plenty of for him, but he also really likes Mike Trout and the Chargers. So, I get him Chargers when I can and give him whatever Trouts I pull from packs.
