  • Selling collection

First I want to say hello. I have found Cardboard Connection to be a god resource whenever I had questions about the hobby. Unfortunately, my first post is an effort to leave the hobby.

I collected when I was younger and have roughly 500 or so cards from 1998 to 2001 nearly all purchased as singles at flea markets. I got started back around 2010 with the vast majority of my collection being 2012 Topps brands.

My collection stops with 2012. I realized in 2014 I was only keeping up my collection as a connection to my late father. In his last years, football was the only topic on which he could hold a conversation. After reaching that personal revelation, I argued over whether or not to keep my collection. When I moved, I concluded the only time I will ever transport these cards again would be to a buyer.

I created a seller account and shipped the autos, patches and generally more valuable cards to COMC. My name is the same there just all lowercase if anyone wants a better idea of the products that make up my collection.

    The collection comprises:

x8 monster boxes of rookie commons and non numbered inserts. All are in top loaders and penny sleeves.

x17 padded binders with a mix of commons, rookie commons and non numbered inserts.

x2 monster boxes of veteran commons

2-3 smaller boxes of commons and non numbered inserts

x5 monster boxes of empty top loaders with 1 row of magnetic holders

I am willing to drive 400-500 miles from Birmingham, AL to meet a buyer. If shipping is preferred I will check with UPS freight to find out shipping cost and the buyer will need to pay for shipping.

Finally, I know that I will not be getting back what was spent to build the collection, and am willing to negotiate with reasonable offers.
