  • Hong-Chih Kuo Bobblehead Night

The third Dodgers bobblehead stadium giveaway was on June 14th against the Cincinnati Reds. It was left-handed reliever, Hong-Chih Kuo.

Last season, Kuo was selected to his first All-Star game and*set a new Dodgers franchise record with an ERA of 1.20, the record for minimum of 50 innings pitched.

As for the game, it was a great pitcher's duel until the Dodgers bullpen came into the game. Clayton Kershaw and Johnny Cueto both went 7 innings giving up 1 run each. Blake Hawksworth came in the 8th inning and allowed a couple of hits before Joey Votto singled in a run against Scott Elbert. Mike MacDougal gave up another in the top of the 9th inning, which turned out to be the winning run since the Dodgers were able to score in the bottom of the inning against Cordero.

    Reds won 3-2.

Here's a closer look at the Kuo bobblehead:

The bobblehead looks like he's right-handed but it's Kuo's follow through after he strikes out a batter. Nothing special about the bobblehead but they did a great job with detailing. It really looks like Hong-Chih Kuo.

Next Bobblehead: Andre Ethier (July 7th)
