Well, I have always loved vintage baseball cards...but I have mostly focused my small collection on the 1950s and 1960s. However, I have always wanted a 1909-11 T206 card. I just hadn't made it happen. Well, that finally changed and I got my first.
I really wanted to find a good player, not necessarily a HOFer...but someone who made a significant contribution. I also wanted to avoid the most common backs for my first example (Piedmont mostly). Well, I think I accomplished that. I found a Red Murray with a Polar Bear back. It's the Red Murray standing with bat, not the portrait...although the SCG label says portrait in error. I really like it. I think it makes a fine addition to my vintage baseball collection.
