Even though we have reached the end of June with no baseball, the 2020 Topps Series 2 Baseball Variations are still in play for collectors.

Switching out photos (and players) from the base set has become a staple of the flagship brand.

As has been the case for a while, the variations substitute images for top players and rookies in the base set from the 2020 Topps Series 2 Baseball checklist. There are also the popular "Legend" versions, which showcase a retired player. Normally, these take the place of a current player from the same franchise.

Another common feature of the variation lineup is the two different tiers of short print rarity. The more common versions are known as SP, and the tougher pulls are called SSP. Print runs are not officially revealed by Topps, but the super short print (SSP) cards are generally quite rare.
