I can't believe it's only been ten years since Bobby Crosby took home the American League Rookie of the Yearaward. Seriously... for some reason it feels a lot longer. Many A's fans were excited about the young slugging shortstop who was going to fill the void Miguel Tejada left behind. And in 2004 (his first full season), he didn't disappoint.

Crosby hit 22 home runs, drove in 64 runs, collected 130 hits, and was one vote shy from winning the prestigious award unanimously. He stayed with the Athletics for five more seasons, but never quite lived up to expectations.

But that's okay. He's still part of Oakland's history... and one of the sevenRookie of the Year award winners over the past twenty-nine years.
