2016 Topps Heritage Baseball Variations Guide

What would Topps Heritage be without a boatload of variations? Bringing in a mix of choices, some variations center on the 1967 set — and corresponding errors — which is the main inspiration for 2016 Topps Heritage Baseball, and also several new options. Get a detailed look at all the variations in one place with our detailed guide.

One new wrinkle that will likely draw the ire of many collectors deals with the code on the card back. Long used to help differentiate the various variations from the base cards, we have been informed that this is no longer the case and all code numbers are now the same. This makes the card front differences that much more important and removes a viable backup option for determining variations.

Because none of the variations were included on the final checklist, this means that it all has to be manually compiled. We will work as fast as possible to get the information up.

While we know there will be Action Images and Color Swaps, the earliest cards to show up are the single-player Rookie SP variations that offer standalone options for top names like Kyle Schwarber and Corey Seager. These are easily distinguished as the base versions include two rookie players per card. Check back as more information surfaces.
