Officials at Panini America successfully inserted sticker albums in the Sunday edition of The Dallas Morning News and Miami Herald. Close to one million albums and six million*stickers will be distributed FREE today in the two cities. In addition to the album, Sunday papers in Dallas will feature six FREE stickers over the next three weeks while Miami will insert the FREE stickers over the next two. Stickers include Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, John Wall, Derrick Rose, among others.
The massive marketing efforts are just part of Panini’s plan to distribute the sticker albums and introduce new collectors to the industry. The build-up to the newspaper promotion started at the NBA All-Star Game in LA, with massive give-aways occurring with the LA Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards and Miami Heat. *
The official NBA sticker album features 378 stickers and packets retail for $1.00. Those working to complete the album can find them at participating retailers including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Learning Express, Modells, Navarro, Sports Authority, Walgreens, Walmart, Target and other fine retailers.
