Question about Wild Card brand and its stripes

Can anyone fill me in on what the stripes meant on the old Wild Card line from many years gone by. I always thought the lower the stripe the more limited but someone else told me that 1000 stripe cards were the rarest because they could be sent as redemptions. Any one know anything about the stripe system?

hey Jay- they were all redemptions- the stripe # was the number of cards of that player you would get. The 1000 were the rarest, and are almost the only ones you see any more, cause the lower # ones are buried in peoples commons boxes
