basically a " super collector" in beckett terms is anyone with a really cool collection of whatever you like to collect. you dont have to have every card of a player or the biggest most expensive. just have a variety of "stuff" and a nice mix of cards and collectibles. the "super collector" issue is out now so id pick it up and check it out. thanks for looking and i appreciate the question. hope it helped.

I have a question? I'm new to the hobby so forgive my lack of knowledge. I assume a super collector is a collector that has a collection of a specific player? In your case P. Manning. In order to be one, you own every single Manning card ever printed? Then you enter your collection to Beckett to be a certified super Collector? Is this how it works? Thank you in advance!

my newest addition was actually in my "collection" for quite awhile and i didnt even know it. this "hang tag" is from a 2012 plush bleacher creature doll that i had of peyton sitting on my bar. i was sitting watching tv and noticed the tag and thought that would make a good "card" to add to my collection. although i didnt remove it too carefully, i think it fits nicely. thanks for looking and please let me know if anyone has any rare mannings in his UT uniform.

Well i'm finally back. It's been a long time since i found something new that i needed and 3 cards show up within one week. So I was lucky and won them and here they are. Hope you enjoy them. The first one is a 2010 SP AUTHENTIC SIGN OF THE TIMES QUADS #ST4-QBS1 (#/3) (WITH BRETT FAVRE, DREW BREES, DONOVAN MCNABB). This is an awesome card thats numbered to 3. The second one is a 2009 BOWMAN DRAFT ALL-STAR ALUMNI SILVER #AA3 (#/50). Numbered to 50 but SUPER hard to find. And last one is a 2010 SP AUTHENTIC SIGN OF THE TIMES DUALS #ST2-MM (#/5) (WITH ARCHIE MANNING). LOVE this one! Thanks for looking.

added one more to the collection this week. it is a 2008 UPPER DECK PREMIER STITCHINGS COLLEGE LOGO/ VARIATION GOLD #PS-PM (#/15). not my favorite card but something tennessee and manning so i had to have it. as always, thanks for looking and please let me know if you collectors ever see anything rare in peytons college uniform. especially a 1998 super rave #/25.

hey everyone. i'm back with 3 HUGE additions to my manning collection. the first 2 cards were from a set that never got released in 1998. they were all supposedly "released" when pinnacle closed the doors half way through 1998 and someone bought the "stock" and resold them. the third one (the score) was "released" the same way when score closed. the first one is a 1998 PINNACLE INSCRIPTIONS AUTOGRAPHS (NOT NUMBERED). i know there's actually another one of the these pinnacle inscriptions actually hand numbered 1/1 that's graded a beckett 9.5. the one i bought isn't numbered on the back. (probably a replacement in case someone returned the original 1/1). beckett calls this version #10 and the one hand numbered 1/1 #9. so there's essentially a pinnacle inscriptions hand numbered 1/1 and a pinnacle inscriptions (not numbered) (1/1). beckett lists 2 cards (#9 and #10) but really it's just the hand numbered 1/1 and the "non numbered". kinda weird they'd do that but you know how beckett is. the next one is a 1998 PINNACLE INSCRIPTIONS PEN PALS (WITH RYAN LEAF) (NO AUTO) (NOT NUMBERED). and the third one is a 1998 SCORE ROOKIE AUTOGRAPHS (1 OF 500) (NO AUTO). i think all 3 of them are essentially 1/1's. i don't think there is any other ones like them out there. if you look on the graded card lookup, there's only one of each graded. all 3 were "resubmitted" and "reslabbed". i was convinced that these 3 cards didn't actually exist. i think beckett graded them and then added them to the price guide. i bet they didnt know about them until they graded them. i've been collecting peyton manning college cards since his rookie year and i have never seen another one like them. i am pretty poor now cause they cost me a TON of money but i am super happy to have them in my collection. well as always, thanks so much for looking and if anyone knows were there's a 1998 skybox thunder super rave of peyton, please let me know. i still need that one.
















here is the "regular" versions of 2 of the cards i just bought. the pinnacle inscriptions hand numbered 1/1 i do not own, but the pen pals auto is mine. just thought you guys would like to see the other examples.

Absolutely fantastic! Can you imagine that Ryan Leaf was almost chosen in front of Manning? It's incredible how things change over time.

i think the nfl wouldnt look the same for the colts and chargers. history would be a little bit different. i still buy the old 1998 draft mags so i can read what they said back then. i think most teams and even the colts were 50/50 on manning and leaf. kinda scary when you think about it. thanks for the look.

what's up everyone? hope everyone had a great christmas and new year. I picked up a new peyton manning on the first day of 2014. it is a 2006 DONRUSS CLASSICS SATURDAY STARS PLATINUM #SS-25 (#/25). I have no idea why this card has been so hard to find with it being numbered to 25, but it has eluded me for a lot of years. well I have finally landed one and I am super happy to have it. well as always, thanks for the looks and if anyone sees any low numbered or oddball manning in his college uniform, please let me know.
