  • Matt Ryan Auto "Mail Day"

During my year in 2009, when I had seen my first televised NFL game, Brett Favre became my idol. How could a man my age keep up with team members half his age? A short time later I watched another Quarterback whom was much younger than Brett Favre, yet played as if he's been a 20 year veteran in the NFL at his position. This young man was the Quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons. As of the present time, "Matty Ice" has continued to take his franchise into every post season game played since his introduction as a rookie. Forum members of CCW are familiar with Mrs. Toshi and her collection of auto/relic cards of her favorite all time players, Andrew Luck, RGIII, Russell Wilson, and Alfred Morris.

I am excited for my wife and her collection! Yet I lack my collection of players that I admire until now. A few days ago I browsed eBay for a internet window shopping of Matt Ryan autos. I do not need to inform any members of this forum of the premium financial obligations in obtaining a "Matty Ice" auto card! Every where I searched, his cards would start with 10 bidders who push the limits of the cost of "Matty Ice" auto cards. In general, the bidding starts at a $50.00 price range only to escalate into the $100.00 to $150.00 range at which is an accurate cost per Beckett pricing. To my surprise a 2012 Panini Limited "Material Monickers" Auto Relic Matt Ryan #12 (16/25) hovered at a strange $20.00 mark. In the end, I was the high bidder, only to get the card at $27.00 including shipping and handling. I was shocked to say the least. Here is my very first auto/relic card of Matt Ryan!

I am easy, I collect any and all NFL cards. Individual players I really enjoy are Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, Andrew Luck, RGIII, and Russell Wilson. My passion is Favre rookie cards and vintage cards.

Great card at a great price! Nice addition! One of the shops I used to frequent in Dallas had grab bags for $5 that had 4 random packs in them. I would usually pick up a bag each time I'd go in to go along with my other cards... usually just a fun cheap way to bust a few extra packs. Most of the packs didn't yield anything noteworthy but one day I got a Matt Ryan SaGe HIT Auto.. needless to say I bought 2 grab bags each visit after that.

    -BUCKET----ROOKIES TRADE LIST----WANT LIST----SET NEEDS----IRVIN HAVES LIST-
LOOKING FOR ANY MICHAEL IRVIN CARDS I DON'T HAVE AND OTHER COWBOYS AUTO/GU/RC'S

That is so cool! I wanted to get a '08 Ryan auto, I just could not see myself paying that much for his auto. I'm not saying its not worth it. But my caveat is buy one auto card or a hobby box? I also noticed that Ryans auto is one of the cleanest penmanship autos out there. Great story for a great card!
