  • Thinking about selling Captain Patch Set..

When I first finished the set it was really cool and I was really excited.. now they are just sitting around and I don't think about or look at them much. I wanted to find out what ya'll thought before I pulled the trigger and posted it on eBay. I don't want to break up the set because I think I'll have a few left over that I won't be able to sell by themselves. Not looking to trade either, I've been in the market for a new watch and would like to use the money towards that.. Do you guys think I will be able to sell this set? And what do you think I should ask for all of them? There are 35 cards in the set and Beckett lists the entire set at $484 value. Thinking about asking $250 with best offers welcome.. LMK what you guys think! Thanks! Here are the pics again...

I was stoked when I got my Fitzgerald captains patch (in the same box I even got the Fitzgerald short print, so I'm calling it fate), but now I can't even seem to use it as trade bait. I'm hoping to eBay it once the season gets closer and the bandwagon Cardinals fans come out. You have an impressive set, good luck with the sale!

It's difficult to let go of something that you worked so hard for. This set has great sentimental value for me. When I first joined CCW, your set completion was the first thread I ever read!

As far as cost concerns, I would go for $350.00 with best offers. If it doesn't sell, realist it at the price you chose which is the $250.00 price. You can always go low, very rarely can you go higher! Marketing this set is truly interesting. Another collector that collects these type of cards would be interested. It's not for collectors that are looking for a card here or there! Try your LCS. I wish I had the funds for this. In my humble opinion, I think the value will slowly rise with time.

      Good luck with this!

I am easy, I collect any and all NFL cards. Individual players I really enjoy are Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, Andrew Luck, RGIII, and Russell Wilson. My passion is Favre rookie cards and vintage cards.

I just saw your eBay buy it now of your Captains Patch. You did choose well as far as your $300.00 price point. The only other set that I viewed was a 10 cards for $54.95. It reads well and looks good. I wish you the best of luck!
