So today I had the urge to break open a box of cards. Unfortunately for yours truly, I have no LCS, so I had to head to the comic shop. This comic shop has half a display case of packs and singles, and about two dozen hobby boxes on display at a time. I was looking at their selection, and nothing was really calling to me… I wanted to bust some packs, not 10-20 card "box" of some high risk / high price product!
Enter 2013 SP Authentic. I have known that Upper Deck lost their NFL license for some time, but the hits I have seen from the product have always been nice even if they were NCAA products. It came down to a choice between SP Authentic, or a box of Panini Contenders, and quite frankly I have been severely let down by most of Panini's products and don't want to drop cash on a box without trying the product first.
So without further adieu, here is my break!

It's harder to tell notable rookies in this set, with players in their college uni's and all, but I suppose almost all the cards are rookie cards with the exceptions of the Legends inserts. This was a great box break!
I really enjoy this set. It has a clean look, lots of HOF autos / inserts, on card (and even on patch!) autos, and great card stock. I wish this product came out sooner, because I would have spent way more on it this year!
Pics will be in my bucket within a few hours, but I am hanging on to the hits until I can get some pricing info from Beckett Online.
