The Top 3 Quarterbacks of The 2012 Draft Class

What a phenominal year it was during the 2012 NFL season. I haven't been that excited since the return of Brett Favre as a Viking! It's no surprise that one of the three Quarterbacks from the 2012 Draft Class would win a Super Bowl, congratulations Seahawks and Russell Wilson, the other two made it into the playoffs, Luck and RGIII. Win, win, win. That's all they did. I'm interested in seeing what 2014 brings about. It's a new year and a new time.

With that being said, there's still the veteran Quarterbacks we must recognize. There's the likes of Brady, Manning, Brees, and Rodgers to name a few. The competition is stiff the games are dire, and the road to the Super Bowl is difficult at best and it seems like it's in another galaxy.

Let's not forget the rookies. Most will be forgettable in six months. Only a few select handful that have the discipline, will be able to continue their season into 2015.

In this thread, I'd like to touch on the subject of art. We know art in music, writing, painting, performing, and creating ie: Architecture, sculpture, etc. But in sports? No way! Is Toshi loosing his mind? I see it this way, first and foremost, all top professional athletes start at a very young age. They then spend the rest of their childhood as an apprentice would, learning skills and techniques. They then take their craft and attempt to publicly display their art for free to the general public. Once they reach a pinnacle, they are recognized by the professional community and can finally reap their rewards financially and with fame.

They want naught in absolute disregard of their temple (Bodies). The abuse it takes and the tolls as well. None of this can be achieved without discipline. Discipline drives the individual to hone their craft and to perfect it. To me, this sounds exactly like art.

This is one of many reasons, that has attracted me to collecting football cards. We all start as novices (Currently, like myself), then metamorph into a collector and finally as a connoisseurs of artistic examples of rare and valuable depictions of art. I hope to one day become such a connoisseurs, I can only do this with discipline!

Until then, here are two more examples of my "Trifecta Collection". Please view and enjoy these cards.

    Thank you,

    Toshi

This card was given to me by RBRedskins. Thank you sir!

With that gift from RBRedskins, I had to complete my trifecta.

    To RBRedskins,

I just checked the Beckett book value, the RGIII gold parallel is $16.00. Wow. I had no idea. It's veteran long time serious collectors like you that novice collectors like myself can learn so much from. Once again, thank you so much for the heads up!

    Hey Toshi,

Bowman has definitely become bland. They did that with the jerseys last year and again this year. They can't show the rookies in their true college uni's (only Upper Deck can), so I don't know why they just don't show them in pro uni's. BTW, I am guessing you know (maybe not), but your RGIII is the gold parallel version.

As promised, here is the next trifecta of the top three quarterbacks from the 2012 Draft Class. The above Score's design is exceptable for a low end product, the Bowman is from another galaxy! Color Crayon graphics with blank jersey's add absolutely nothing to these designs. I don't know how to explain it any other way. I was still determined to aquire this set of three cards for a part of my trifecta collection.

One reason would be that it's my favorite players, Luck, RGIII, Wilson. The other reason is that each card runs a high of $8.00 book value. Really, $8.00 for Crayon drawings? My next set of regular Topps should be here soon. Oh well, here they are.

No problem! This is another aspect to collecting that I never considered, the opportunity to add the humanistic touch to collecting football cards. It pleases me greatly that you enjoy the cards. This is why I love my phrase; "Christmas 24/7". That's what Jesus wanted anyway. It's like my Scrooge concept. Don't wait for three horrific ghosts to make one aware of the good, just do it now in regards to the giving aspect!

Would be awesome to watch what all goes on during that photo shoot!
I also am not a huge Score fan. As you know, I've only started my collection since the last month of 2012. Score has always been an entry level product that is the first to debut, hence I had no idea what it looked like as well, nor what it's purpose was until recently.

My purpose to collect these three cards depicted above is due to its collectibility in the players and it's interesting financial gain. Again and again, I reiterate, I do not collect for profit, but it's a different and exciting aspect to anyone's collection. I tread a fine line as such regarding my statement. I wanted to start by slowly collecting the trifecta of these players in products that I could afford. I felt Score was a great start for me.

The design is simple and easy on the eyes. Most importantly, it's within my budget. My next project will consists of 2012 Topps Prime Hobby Edition of these three players. It's a little more in cost but still affordable. I love cards that are full bleed. There is 2012 bowman but the design looks like a bad cartoon from a bad dream. After this, I think it'll be Topps and I'll stop there. I already own complete sets of a Chrome Master Set, Platinum, and Finest, so that's covered in that area as far as Luck, RGIII, and Wilson is concerned. Panini has Prestige, Certified, and Elite. The last two are products that have numbered cards of rookies so this makes it out of my budget. Believe it or not, although Prestige is a better tiered product than Score, Scores design far out weighs prestige lack luster attempt.

I really like your idea in regards to filling up the stands as well as allowing fans to have the opportunity to do so st the Rookie Premier! It could be a contest situation. Please do yourself a favor and go to the Knights Lance website and email Tracy Hackler in regards to your idea. It just might take off and make you famous. Can you say free hobby boxes? Oh yah!
