To my fellow forum members,
Recently, there was a special on eBay. It was, purchase three seperate items for $20.00 or more and eBay will place $20.00 back into your Paypal account. Well, Mrs. Toshi said; "If you want to get cards, take advantage of this special offer". You can imagine that I jumped at the chance.
The first item purchased is a 2012 Topps Complete set. This set is the retail product that includes a special promotional item. You either get a RGIII Rookie Patch card or a Andrew Luck Rookie Patch card. The second item is 8 packs totaling 200 Ultra Pro Gold Letter Rookie Top Loaders. I'm sure that you members are wondering why these items are in "Football Showcase".
As I opened the factory set to get my special RGIII Rookie Patch card, I went over each and every card. What I found was two 2012 Topps Rookie Card Andrew Luck #140. Why two? I didn't understand this until I carefully viewed both of them side by side. There, in my hand was a #140D "Twisting" variation SP of Andrew Luck. You can bet I was extremely excited by this as I'm a huge Andrew Luck fan.
I will admit that 8 packs rookie top loaders are not very exciting at all. I'm sure that many of the veteran forum members here on CCW know how much I preach about proper collecting supplies, this is such an important factor to any hobby. "The right tools for the job" is ever so true especially, when it comes to a member pulling a prized RPA, only to toss it aside in a shoebox. That my forum members is blasphemous in the eyes of football card collectors.
The final item should arrive early next week, upon it's arrival, you can count on me to showcase the product. Until then, happy collecting!
Toshi
