AKB48 is a Japanese girl pop group consists of 87 girls (as of 27th March 2013), holds the Guinness World Record for being the world's "largest pop group". More detail on wiki page..

This is my very first box of Japanese release.
(I have opened some packs of Japanese Baseball-NPB in the past)

This is their second Trading card set.
15 packs per regular box (come with 1 SP box topper)
10 packs per official shop special box (come with 1 privilege photo)
7 cards to a pack.

Natsuki Kojima Autograph (She just got promote to regular cast in August 2012)



I am suprised that I like the set very much. I might get 1 more box, just trying to complete the regular set.

My spidey sences tell me go buy a box because they will definetly be worth the investment however its the seeing their ages id feel like that one bloke who goes to a Hannah Montanna concert (when she was 12). No doubt i'll see the autographs going for a fortune in a few years time(if not more due to the Japanese market).

The top girls Autographs are actually carry very high value.
I saw some sold on Japan Yahoo auction
Shinoda Mariko 45000 yen (about USD500)
Itano Tomomi 38000 yen (about USD 400)
Never saw Yuko Oshima, Mayu Watanabe and Yuki Kashuwagi hit the market, these 3 would easily double Mariko's value.
Common ones like mine were selling 8000-10000 yen (USD80-100)

Also, the Wardrobe cards sell very well too, ranging from 2000-3000 yen (USD20-30) for a common to 10000-15000 yen (USD100-150) for any top 16 girl.

Their fan base is huge, ranging from school kid to mid-aged professionals, Japanese fans are super loyal and passionate, try find some live clips of them on youtube,. you'll know what I mean~
