  • Brian Stow Ceremony; Kershaw Deals As Furcal Ponders Retirement

    Before the game, the Giants/Dodgers went to the middle of the field to honor Brian Stow, who was attacked on March 31st by two men dressed in Dodgers gear.

    Jeremy Affeldt & Jamey Carroll addressed the crowd:

    Clayton Kershaw pitched another excellent game against the San Francisco Giants.

    He went 6 2/3 innings with 7 Ks, earning his 2nd win of the season (both against San Francisco). Kershaw also extended his consecutive scoreless innings to 23 2/3 against the Giants.

    Matt Kemp reached based in 3 of his 4 at-bats, and stole another base to make him 7-for-7 on the season.

    Rod Barajas hit his 2nd home run of the season in the top of the 5th inning to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead. Andre Ethier added RBI singles in the 5th & 7th inning.

    Dylan Hernandez reports:
    Furcal has a broken finger. Said he's pondering retirement. #Dodgers
    Rafael Furcal injured his left thumb sliding into third base in the 5th inning. Aaron Miles replaced him the following inning.
