    Doug Fister named AL Pitcher of the Month

    Tigers right-hander Doug Fister named American League Pitcher of the Month. | MLB.com: News

    Fister was named the American League Pitcher of the Month for the first time on Thursday after posting a 5-0 record and a league-leading 0.53 ERA over the course of September. He racked up 34 strikeouts and just three walks in 34 innings over five appearances (four starts).

        He has pitched really good except for 1 game since he came over from the hapless Mariners!
