  • Twins Agree to Deal with Jamey Carroll

The Twins have signed Jamey Carroll to a two-year deal to be their everyday shortstop.  The team announced the deal today. …

The Twins have agreed to sign Jamey Carroll to be their everyday shortstop, according to ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick. The two-year contract is pending a physical and, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, will be worth $7MM or so. The Millenium Sports Management client drew interest from multiple teams this offseason before signing with the Twins, who are operating under interim GM Terry Ryan.

Winning clearly had no factor on his choice

Was Carroll a utility player on the Dodgers? That was a lot of money to pay someone.

It sounds like the Red Sox aren't comfortable with Bard at closer, wouldn't suprise me if they try to sign Heath Bell.

I think it's likely the White Sox trade Danks if they can resign Buehrle. Sounds like they'd really like to bring him back.

Buehrle deserves to finish his career in the black and white, even though i know he said he wanted to finish his career in his hometown of St Louis, hes this generation's answer to JAck McDowell, and he needs to stay here,to help groom whoever will eventually take over as the staff ace in '13,as far as Danks goes, ive always thought hes underperformed since 2006,and now might be the time to cut and run with him,and hopefully get another pitching prospect out of any deal we make
