Surprises & Disappointments So Far For 2012 MLB Season

I know it is barely 2 weeks into the season, but what are some suprises and disappointments so far.

Dodgers starting the season 8-1. I think this is great for the city and franchise. News of Magic Johnson as the new owner must have helped morale a lot in the clubhouse.

Nationals are 7-2. Really? LOL!

Albert Pujols has 0 Home Runs through 9 games.

Alex Rodrigez, Mark Teixeira, and Robinson Cano only have 1 RBI each so far through 8 games.

Carlos Pena is batting .379 with 3 Home Runs and 9 RBIs. I am so used to seeing a batting avg under .230 LOL!

John Willingham has 4 Home Runs so after 8 games.

David Freese has better numbers than Albert Pujols right now with 3 Home Runs, 11 RBIs, and a .406 batting avg.

Barry Zito threw a complete game shutout in his first 2012 start.

My biggest surprise would be Darvish win his 1st two games!

My biggest disappointment is Boston losing Ellsbury with the dislocated shoulder..

I'm not "disapointed", but i'm sure Angels fans are with Mark Trumbo. He looks AWFUL at 3rd base.

And the "BIRDS" (Orioles) are sitting on TOP of the A L EAST "Nest" !!!!!! Let's end the season now, and start the playoffs !!!!!!

I knew the Nats would be better this year..didn't expect them to get off to a 7-2 start though..

OMG what is wrong with the Angels?

They lost again today and their record now stands at 6 Wins and 14 Losses, last place in the AL West.

Albert Pujols still hasnt hit a home run and has a .225 batting avg.

Vernon Wells still sucks, but sadly he is leading the team in home runs. LOL!

Mark Trumbo is probably their best player right now and he is stuck on the bench behind Wells and others.

Their closer sucks and has been replaced as of today.

I said before the season their issue would be the bullpen. Pujols is just pressing though, and he's on the backside of his career.

If the Angels thought they were getting the Pujols of 2001-10 they were sadly mistaken. Money wasn't the only or main reason he wasn't offered a 10 year contract by the Cardinals. His numbers had been in decline for the past 2 seasons whether his stats reflected it or not. Pujols leaving the Cardinals was like the aging vet looking for a contender to win a ring. Except he already had 2! And the pieces were in place to win more! In the end, it wasn't about winning championships to him, it was about being on the big stage and getting even more praise. EGO! He won't make it thru 2 years of his contract before he begs to be traded or the Angels look to unload that monstrosity of a contract.
