    Twins signed Thome
    Padres signed Jon Garland
    Cardinals sign Rich Hill
    Cubs sign Xavier Nady
and one I forgot about yesterday..
    Padres sign Matt Stairs

I like the Twins signing Thome.. Mauer, Morneau, and Thome could be a hell of a middle of the lineup for any team to pitch too.. Throw Cuddyer in there and that's a very nice lineup they have built there..

I'm surprised Garland signed with the Padres and not a team that could reach the playoffs.. I think he would have fit nicely somewhere with a team like the Mets.. I really saw Garland going to New York but I guess not..

Everyone get your Rich Hill cards out, Dave Duncan's next reclamation project is under way.. Look at what he did with Joel Pineiro and even Braden Looper.. I think Rich Hill could become the pitcher he was never able to in Chicago or Baltimore.. Another low risk high reward signing for the Cardinals pitching staff.. I like it!

I always wished Nady would be back with the Yankees.. I liked him in right field for some reason.. I thought he was just the type of player that would fit very nice but with Swisher coming up big like he did last year, he forced him out of town.. Nice signing for the Cubbies to replace Bradley

And Stairs is always a thread off the bench and can hit any fastball from Jonathan Broxton to Nolan Ryan

Problem with Thome to the Twins, is if they put them 3-4-5, you just need to have a lefty pitch and they're in trouble

However, Thome is a notorious killer on Verlanders pitching, so that stinks

I did not hear that Cardinals signed Rich Hill

This suprises me because Dave Duncan already has Brad Penny this year

If he can get both going, that's a solid rotation!

          Wainwright
          Carpenter
          Hill
          Penny

Yes, but that's not like throwing a lefty specialist for Dave Roberts, Scott Podsednik, and Juan Pierre.. All 3 are very good pitchers.. You need to be perfect to each of them and if you make a mistake to one of them they will make you pay for it
