  • Report: Choo rejected Yankees' 7-year offer

Shin-Soo Choo rejected a seven-year, $140 million contract offer from the Yankees, reports Yahoo! Sports' Jeff Passan.
Choo's agent Scott Boras countered that he was looking for "Ellsbury money," according to the report. New York signed Jacoby Ellsbury to a seven-year, $148 million contract earlier this month. Passan reports that the Astros are one team with an offer on the table to Choo.

Puh-leeese. Rejecting 140million. That is ridiculous. I would guess the ego trip there starts with Borass. Surprised Choo is going along with it.

He turned down $20 million per year? He's an idiot and Boras is ruining baseball! Ellsbury didn't deserve the contract that he got either. I don't know if the Yankees will be contenders next year, but I'm certain that Houston will not! Just goes to prove that a World Series Ring isn't as important as cashing that paycheck!

Wow. Choo isn't worth anywhere near that much for that amount of time, so for him to turn it down is laughable.

I actually did like Choo. But he's not worth that much at his age.

I like Choo, but it's ridiculous to expect more than that offer. He's not even worth that.
