    Joba's Mother put on Probation

    The mother of New York Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain has been sentenced to four years of probation for a felony drug charge, the Lincoln Journal-Star is reporting.

    Amazes me how Joba didn't let his mother affect his journey to the big leagues, with the distraction she gave him.

    His father probably had a strong impact on him, that may be why

      He probably used his mother as inspiration.... He didn't want to go down the same road. His father is disabled as well, but he did help him out a lot with baseball growing up.

          Joba is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. His dad on the other hand is ....well I don't want to set in trouble here.
