  • Kobe Surpasses Havlicek for 11th on All-Time Scoring List

    Congrats to Kobe Bryant!

He finished the game with 23 points, putting him ahead of Havlicek with 26,398 points.

Kobe was 20 points behind Celtics legend John Havlicek for 11th on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

With the Lakers riding a 3-game win streak, they went into Chicago to face Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls.

The Lakers went on a 14-0 run in the 1st quarter, quickly putting the Bulls in a whole. At the end of the first quarter the Lakers led 22-12. The Bulls went on their own run to end the second quarter, 19-3 putting them ahead by 4 at halftime. It was a horrible shooting half by both teams. Bulls led 36-32.

Lakers continued to not play defense in the third quarter, allowing the Bulls to score 30 points. Bulls went into the 4th with an 8 point lead. The Lakers couldn't recover in the fourth because the Bulls keep hitting their wide open 3's. Derrick Rose was impressive with 29 points, includinng 9 coming in the fourth. This was the first time the Bulls have beaten the Lakers since 2006.

Next up on the list is (#10) Dominique Wilkins, who has 26,668 points. If Kobe keeps the same pace all season long, he could end up at #6.

Box Score: LA Lakers 84 CHI Bulls 88
